Course Choral Treasure Hunt: Practical Selection of Songs for Church Choirs \u2013 \u2013 Accepting Applications Content This course explores the selection and rehearsal of choral hymns from unison to mixed voice, and how to coordinate with church worship gatherings. Factors to consider include: church festivals, gathering themes, scriptures, congregational hymns, musical elements, difficulty of music, rehearsal planning, etc. In addition to the explanations in the class (every Tuesday), you will also listen to the practice of the Haosheng Praise Him Choir in the fourth class (Thursday), observe and try out (the choral teaching materials are published by the Haosheng Praise Him Choir and represented by the Hong Kong Sacred Music Service Society). Lecturer Mr. Lau Wing Sang Retired lecturer of Church Music Department of our College Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong Music Director of the Hong Kong Hymns Choir, Church Music Garden and Hong Kong Choir Society Target audience School choir instructors, church choir conductors, organists, choir leaders, choir members who have good music score reading and sight-singing skills, or those who aspire to become choir conductors.
