My three-year learning experience at the seminary is truly a grace from the Triune God. During the period, my fellow students and I experienced, witnessed, and reflected upon the meaning of \u201cGod is love.\u201d In addition, He molded us in these three years so that all of us can have a role to play in His salvation story. The two aspects mentioned above are related to the nature of studying at HKBTS. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color: #235ba8; font-size: 24px;\"><strong>A Seminary for Others<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p align=\"\u201cjustify\u201d\">\u3000\u3000Being created in the divine image of the Triune God, we should get along with one another in a way reflecting \u201cGod is love,\u201d which has long been demonstrated in God\u2019s economy of salvation when He sent His son into His created world. This is God \u201cfor others.\u201d Perhaps the greatest influence HKBTS has had on me is the concept of life \u201cfor others\u201d revealed to me by the teachers and students within this disciple community, which allows me to experience the concrete meaning of \u201cGod is love.\u201d Be it the life at the hostel, learning in classrooms, or the prayers of the community, it has given me the experience that we are not fighting alone on this theological journey, but instead learning about our Lord\u2019s life \u201cfor others\u201d through our relationships with one another. <\/p>\n<p align=\"\u201cjustify\u201d\">\u3000\u3000That said, I am not going to romanticize the learning and relationships at the seminary. In fact, even though we were theological students, we were still inadequate in handling relationships and other issues that required an understanding and implementation of the meaning of \u201cGod is love,\u201d which we had to face squarely. But this also revealed our need for a personal experience of the Holy Spirit\u2019s work in the community. Only when we are empowered by the Holy Spirit can we become a seminary \u201cfor others\u201d in Christ. HKBTS is a seminary \u201cfor others\u201d and this is further revealed in the dimensions \u201cfor the church\u201d and \u201cfor the world.\u201d <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color: #235ba8; font-size: 24px;\"><strong>A Seminary for the Church<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p align=\"\u201cjustify\u201d\">\u3000\u3000Long before I was admitted to HKBTS, I had heard that it was a seminary \u201cfor the church.\u201d At that time, I did not pay much heed to such a description. It was not until I joined and learned in this community that I discovered HKBTS\u2019s teaching of the Bible, theology, and praxis are \u201cfor the church\u201d indeed. Although the training at HKBTS is academically demanding, it is aimed at <em><strong>equipping us for serving in the church, so each of us may become both \u201can academic and a hard worker\u201d and partake in the economy of salvation the Triune God first works out at the church<\/em><\/strong>. The training at HKBTS allows us to continue in the place where we are going to serve in future with what we have learned in the Bible, theology, and praxis and to continue with the fellowship in this community so that we can become a pastor \u201cfor the church.\u201d <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color: #235ba8; font-size: 24px;\"><strong>A Seminary for the World<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p align=\"\u201cjustify\u201d\">\u3000\u3000The Triune God first worked out the economy of salvation in the church but His salvation does not stop there. Instead it is extended to the entire created world. The training God gave us through HKBTS is not like that in an ivory tower; nor is it for ministries at the church only. It is \u201cfor the world\u201d at the same time. HKBTS is a seminary \u201cfor the world,\u201d which was revealed in the in-class discussions. What particularly impressed me was the essays and discussions of my classmates at the Senior Integrative Colloquium. These interdisciplinary essays not only required us to reach certain academic standards but also that our discussion must be responsive to the needs of Hong Kong and the world. Meanwhile, as a seminary \u201cfor the world,\u201d mention must be made of HKBTS\u2019s concern for ecology, which has renewed our understanding of the targets of salvation. <em><strong>In academic discussions and praxis of the seminary alike, HKBTS has revealed the target of salvation of the Triune God: not only mankind but also the entire created world. <\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n<p align=\"\u201cjustify\u201d\">\u3000\u3000The three dimensions mentioned above, namely \u201cseminary for others\u201d, \u201cseminary for the church\u201d and \u201cseminary for the world\u201d are closely related to our relationship with the Triune God. Ultimately, one\u2019s relationship with others is inseparable from one\u2019s relationship with God and our learning at HKBTS has continuously renewed our relationship with God. In such a disciple community, we study books, people, and ourselves. This is God \u201cfor others\u201d. Perhaps the greatest impact of HKTS on me is that the teachers and classmates in this discipleship group showed me a life \u201cfor others\u201d, allowing me to experience a little of the concrete meaning of \u201cGod is love\u201d. Whether it is life in the dormitory, learning in the classroom, or group prayer, I have experienced that we are not fighting alone on the path of theology, but learning our Lord&#039;s life &quot;for others&quot; in the relationship with each other. However, I will not romanticize the learning and getting along in the seminary. In fact, even if we are seminary students, we still have shortcomings in getting along and dealing with things, and we still cannot fully understand and implement the specific meaning of &quot;God is love&quot;. This needs to be faced and faced. But this just shows that we all need to personally experience the work of the Holy Spirit in the group. The training of BTS helps us to continue the Bible, theology, and practice learned in this group in the future where we serve, to continue the fellowship life of this group, and to become a pastor &quot;for the church&quot;. A seminary for the world The Triune God first implemented worldly salvation in the church, but His salvation does not stop at the church, but extends to the entire created world. The equipment that the Triune God gave us through BTS is not &quot;ivory tower-style&quot; and is not only for serving in the church; this equipment is also &quot;for the world&quot;. BTS is a seminary &quot;for the world&quot;, which is reflected in our classroom discussions. What impressed me most was the papers and discussions of my classmates in the graduation seminar. This is a seminary for the church\uff09\u548c\u300c\u70ba\u4e16\u754c\u300d\uff08for the world\uff09\u9019\u5169\u500b\u5411\u5ea6\u3002 \u70ba\u6559\u6703\u7684\u795e\u5b78\u9662 \u3000\u3000\u65e9\u5728\u9032\u5165\u300c\u6d78\u795e\u300d\u4e4b\u524d\uff0c\u6211\u5c31\u807d\u8aaa\u9019\u662f\u4e00\u6240\u300c\u70ba\u6559\u6703\u300d\u7684\u795e\u5b78\u9662\uff0c\u7576\u6642\u9019\u6a23\u7684\u63cf\u8ff0\u4e26\u672a\u5f15\u8d77\u6211\u592a\u5927\u7684\u6ce8\u610f\u3002\u76f4\u5230\u6211\u9032\u5165\u9019\u500b\u7fa4\u9ad4\uff0c\u5728\u7576\u4e2d\u5b78\u7fd2\uff0c\u624d\u767c\u73fe\u300c\u6d78\u795e\u300d\u5c0d\u8056\u7d93\u3001\u795e\u5b78\u3001\u8e10\u884c\u7684\u6559\u5c0e\u7684\u78ba\u662f\u300c\u70ba\u6559\u6703\u300d\u7684\u3002\u300c\u6d78\u795e\u300d\u7684\u8a13\u7df4\u96d6\u7136\u4e0d\u4e4f\u5b78\u8853\u7684\u8981\u6c42\uff0c\u4f46\u90fd\u662f\u70ba\u4e86\u88dd\u5099\u6211\u5011\u5728\u6559\u6703\u4e2d\u4e8b\u5949\uff0c\u6210\u70ba\u300c\u52e4\u529b\u505a\u4e8b\u7684\u8b80\u66f8\u4eba\u300d\uff0c\u53c3\u8207\u4e09\u4e00\u4e0a\u5e1d\u9996\u5148\u5728\u6559\u6703\u4e2d\u6240\u65bd\u884c\u7684\u7d93\u4e16\u62ef\u6551\u884c\u52d5\u3002\u300c\u6d78\u795e\u300d\u7684\u8a13\u7df4\u5e6b\u52a9\u6211\u5011\u5728\u5c07\u4f86\u670d\u4f8d\u7684\u5730\u65b9\u80fd\u5ef6\u7e8c\u9019\u500b\u7fa4\u9ad4\u88cf\u6240\u5b78\u7fd2\u7684\u8056\u7d93\u3001\u795e\u5b78\u3001\u8e10\u884c\uff0c\u5ef6\u7e8c\u9019\u500b\u7fa4\u9ad4\u7684\u5718\u5951\u751f\u6d3b\uff0c\u6210\u70ba\u4e00\u500b\u300c\u70ba\u6559\u6703\u300d\u7684\u7267\u8005\u3002 \u70ba\u4e16\u754c\u7684\u795e\u5b78\u9662
