Editor\u2019s note Huang Fuguang The special topic of this issue of Shan Dao Journal is \u201cInterdisciplinary Integration of Theological Studies\u201d. It is a challenge to properly discuss this big topic in six articles. Nevertheless, the articles included in this issue cover many aspects and can give readers a brief understanding of this field. The first article, \u201cInterdisciplinary Biblical Studies: Applications and Abuses\u201d, written by the author, discusses some applications and abuses of interdisciplinary studies in biblical studies. In short, although it is possible to borrow the help of other disciplines when studying the Bible, and this has been done for a long time, this does not mean that all interdisciplinary biblical studies are necessarily useful, interesting, or even properly done. In addition, since two disciplines are used at the same time, the priority of which one should be resolved. The article illustrates these points through multiple examples (such as how biblical studies are combined with archaeology, science, other textual traditions, etc.). Xie Pinran\u2019s \u201cBiblical Theology, Neurotheology, and Artificial Intelligence: An Exploration of Interdisciplinary Integration of Biblical and Theological Studies\u201d briefly introduces readers to the impact and challenges brought by cutting-edge sciences such as neuroscience and artificial intelligence. The article mainly introduces these fields and points out how biblical theology should view them and what messages it should present. This discussion has just begun; the author is open to and welcomes the inclusion of these disciplines in biblical and theological studies. Zhang Kaixian's "The New Development of Paul's View of Apocalypse and Interdisciplinary Research: Social Science Methods and Cognitive Linguistics Methods" is relatively "traditional", involving the integration of biblical studies and cognitive linguistics. The author uses cognitive linguistic methods to analyze Paul's metaphors about the Christ event and resurrection, thereby showing how these metaphors help to build a community that is different from contemporary society. Hong Liang's "The Concept of "Morphological Freedom" in Transhumanism - From the Perspective of Human "Vulnerability"" takes readers to a field that is relatively unfamiliar to ordinary believers, this time exploring the relationship between transhumanism and theology. The focus of the article is to explore human "vulnerability" as a reason for enhancing human structure and ability. The author believes that the evaluation of such ideas should not be limited to the perspective of creationism, but should also include Christ-centered anthropology. Like Xie Pinran, Hong Liang is cautious but open to this issue. Lai Pinchao's "Transcendence and Self-Transcendence: From Postmodern Philosophy to Confucian-Christian Dialogue" is also an article about theology, but it is relatively "traditional" because it is a dialogue with Eastern and Western philosophy. The focus of this article is transcendence and self-transcendence, and the author brilliantly lists various views on this issue in the academic community. He concluded that this kind of interdisciplinary integration of theological research should be encouraged because it can enrich our understanding of the relevant topics. The last special article is She Zhifeng's "Overcoming Obstacles: Practical Theological Reflections on the Spirituality of Church Leaders." Unlike other articles, it involves practical issues, that is, the practice of personal spirituality. The author first points out some of the reasons why it is difficult for church leaders to practice spirituality (such as being busy, wrong concepts of holiness), then makes an assessment, and finally makes some
