The performers were devoted to singing and playing the musical instruments the best they could while the congregation were immersed and touched again and again by each of the musical items.<\/p><p align=\"\u201cjustify\u201d\">\u3000\u3000It was the premier performance of Dr. Cainan Mui\u2019s new song \u201cA Prayer of Thanksgiving\u201d which was the ultimate climax of the entire evening. The audience found this fresh new song both pleasing to the ears and uplifting to the spirit. The sound of the mega-choir formed by many church choirs was like a rolling surge and the ever-flowing waters so that the congregation experienced a closeness to God and their hearts were filled with thanksgiving and praise.<\/p><p align=\"\u201cjustify\u201d\">\u3000\u3000The mega-choir consists of about 250 members, representing 18 local Baptist churches together with the HKBTS\u2019s joint choir. That evening when these choir members appeared at the back and one by one joined the procession to walk to the front of the sanctuary, our hearts were filled with indescribable excitement. In our hearts, this thrilling moment is stamped indelibly on our hearts and minds as a seal. In this well-structured and smoothly executed concert, both the congregation and performers were fully engaged, repeatedly moved by the singers&#039; and musicians&#039; passionate singing and playing. Dr. Mei Guangwen&#039;s new composition for our institute, &quot;A Prayer of Thanksgiving,&quot; premiered at the concert. This moving and deeply spiritual sacred music became the climax of the evening\u2014the powerful singing of the large chorus surged like waves, touching the congregation with God&#039;s presence and the deepest gratitude in their hearts amidst the beautiful hymns. The large chorus consisted of approximately 250 people, including a joint choir from eighteen Baptist churches and our institute&#039;s choir. That evening, seeing the choir members from the eighteen churches march one by one down the aisle towards the hall, a powerful and moving procession filled everyone with indescribable excitement. In our hearts, this excitement left the mark of &quot;Baptist God&quot; and the Baptist churches moving forward in tandem: whether it&#039;s the past sixty years or the past one hundred and twenty, we will receive our calling together and walk side by side in theological education. Attendees responded that they had attended countless music and praise meetings, but this one was truly unforgettable! It was clear that a great deal of effort had been put into the preparations\u2026 It was deeply moving not only that the seminary and alumni choirs had diligently practiced and sang pieces of considerable difficulty despite their busy schedules, but also the outstanding performances by different music teachers and fellow believers, and the unforgettable singing of the Sunshine Choir. Most touching was the participation of choirs from different churches; although they all wore their respective church robes of different colors, their unified singing made me feel as if I were glimpsing the glory and awe of worship in heaven\u2026 It truly moved me. I think this is also a manifestation of unity in diversity! And Dean Cao&#039;s concise and insightful narration... This evening was truly memorable! May this harmonious singing surround God&#039;s throne, satisfying His will! And may Heavenly Father continue to expand the boundaries of the seminary!
