This conference was made possible through the cooperation of a number of Island South churches. These churches have encouraged their church members to attend with the result that almost four hundred people were in attendance each time. Five Biblical Studies teachers from the Seminary went to the church successively to share their spiritual food and service with our brothers and sisters. These meetings gave our teachers an opportunity to get to know these churches as they served them. It was also heartening to see the thirst and excitement for the word of God in the hearts of our brothers and sisters!<\/p><p align=\"\u201cjustify\u201d\">\u3000\u3000The theme of the conference was \u201cThe Lord of All Nations and All Peoples: We Are the People of God.\u201d This was the third district-wide spiritual enrichment Bible Study Conference after Shatin and Tsuen Wan. The next Bible Study Conference will be held in September and October at Kwun Tong Baptist Church with the theme \u201cBlessed are the Poor? Biblical Teachings on the Poor.\u201d This Bible Study Conference will also be held on five consecutive Sunday afternoons with our five Bible Study teachers as speakers.<\/p><p align=\"\u201cjustify\u201d\">\u3000\u3000The Seminary will continue to go to every district, sharing the spiritual feast from one place to another. Through such a series of Bible Study meetings, we can visit and serve brothers and sisters in the different districts. In the past two years, God has blessed the Seminary with a particularly strong faculty team in Biblical Studies and our rich blessings from God have compelled us to make a greater effort to share the Word of God. Furthermore, as a seminary that lays great emphasis on the Word of God, we particularly hope to have the opportunity to study God\u2019s Word with our brothers and sisters. We want to encourage them and equip them to learn more about God\u2019s Word so that their spiritual lives can be imbued with biblical wisdom and vision.<\/p><h3 class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color: #235ba8; font-size: 24px;\"><strong>Responses from Two Attendants<\/strong><\/h3><p align=\"right\"><b>Chan Kam-cheong<\/b><\/p><blockquote><p>In May, I feasted on a rich banquet which was the Bible Study Conference. Its theme was \u201cThe Lord of All Nations and All Peoples: We Are the People of God\u201d and it was held for five Sunday afternoons in succession. I was privileged to attend the whole five-day seminar and witnessed how brothers and sisters enthusiastically expressed their strong thirst for God\u2019s Word. It was heartening to see different age groups actively participating in the event and encouraged one another in studying God\u2019s Word. I was deeply touched and invigorated!<\/p><p>Five Old and New Testament teachers from HKBTS spoke on the theme, \u201cWe Are the People of God\u201d befitting their respective fields and giving free play to each teacher\u2019s expertise. Although divided into five meetings, the seminar was coherent in thought and had a unity in style. On the one hand, most importantly it aroused our interest to keep studying the Bible in greater depth; on the other hand, it has aroused our thinking, helping us to reflect on the state of our spiritual lives. Each of the seminary professors had their own distinctive style: some were concise, in-depth and presenting in good order and with good reasoning; others had distinct personality, and made vivid presentations with humorous delivery; some spoke soul to soul, pleasantly but with an earnestness. Each was outstanding in his unique way.<\/p><\/blockquote><p align=\"right\"><b>Chow Yuen-wah<\/b><\/p><blockquote><p>I must thank the many HKBTS teachers who shared with us precious teaching at the Bible Study Conference. In the meeting on \u201cTo Look at the Affirmation of Israelites\u2019 Self Identity from the Book of Joshua,\u201d it was pointed out that the Israelites&#8217; resolution to follow God and be His people took place after they had come to understand God\u2019s love and grace. I think this ought to be the experience of generations of Israelites seeking their own identity of being the people of God and also of us, the Christians community, who become the people of God because of our faith in Christ Jesus. Besides, from the message of Judges that \u201cWe People of God Are of the Same Family,\u201d I came to realize the importance of observing and obeying what God commands, not only individually but corporately as a nation; not only in this generation but to pass down the conviction from generation to generation.<\/p><p>The meeting \u201cI Will Become a Jew?\u201d has not only helped explain the doubt I had had in mind, but has also corrected and prepared me to continue learning \u201cGod\u2019s People\u2019s \u2018Family Code\u2019\u201d (that is, the community of faith must treat one another and people in general under the governance and guidance of the Holy Spirit and seek to live out the new rule to \u201clove others as oneself.\u201d) In the meeting on \u201cThe Importance of the Identity of Being God\u2019s Children to Spiritual Growth,\u201d I learned to have the hope of glory and the biblical basis of the inheritance of God\u2019s children so that my heart was filled with an inner joy. This Bible study meeting, which is a collaboration between several churches in the Southern District and encourages members from all churches in the district to attend, has nearly four hundred people attending each time. Five Bible teachers from our college went to the church one after another and shared a five-day spiritual feast with the brothers and sisters. This was a visit and service by the college to the churches in the southern district. What we cherish is not only the enthusiasm of the participants, but also the friendship and co-workers of the churches in the district, as well as the longing and excitement for the Word of God in the hearts of the brothers and sisters!   The Southern District Bible Seminar, with the general theme of &quot;Lord of All Nations: We Are God&#039;s People&quot;, is the third regional spiritual training and Bible study meeting held by our institute. The first two meetings have been held in Sha Tin and Tsuen Wan; the next one will be held in Kwun Tong between September and October. The theme is &quot;Are the Poor Blessed? The Bible&#039;s Teaching on Caring for the Poor&quot; and the meeting place is Kwun Tong Baptist Church. It also includes five Sunday afternoon meetings, with lectures given by five Bible teachers from our college.   The college will continue to share the spiritual feast in various districts, visiting and serving brothers and sisters in different regions through a series of Bible study meetings. In the past two years, God has led the college to build a very solid team of Bible teachers. This gift urges us to share God&#039;s Word more with the church. Moreover, as a Bible-focused seminary, we especially look forward to the opportunity to study the Bible with brothers and sisters and encourage believers to learn more about God&#039;s Word so that their spiritual lives can be filled with biblical wisdom and perspective. Responses from two participants In May, we enjoyed a rich spiritual feast, namely the Bible seminar &quot;Lord of All Nations: We Are God&#039;s People&quot; held in our Aberdeen Baptist Church for five consecutive Sunday afternoons. I was fortunate to be able to attend the entire seminar. I saw that the brothers and sisters were all eager for God\u2019s Word. People of different ages actively participated and encouraged each other to learn God\u2019s Word. It was very touching and encouraging! Each professor of the Old and New Testament in the seminary focused on the theme &quot;We are God&#039;s people&quot; and elaborated on it in accordance with his or her own academic expertise. Although the entire seminar was divided into five sessions, they were able to connect each other and flow smoothly. On the one hand, it aroused our interest in further study, and on the other hand, it triggered our thinking and helped us reflect on our lives. Each professor has his or her own unique style. Some are concise, profound and well-organized; some are vivid and humorous; and some are spiritually connected and earnest. Each one is wonderful in its own way. Chen Jinchang thanked several teachers from the seminary for giving us valuable teachings in the Bible seminar. Among them, &quot;The Israelites&#039; Self-Identity Affirmation from the Book of Joshua&quot; mentions that the Israelites determined to follow God and become His people after they understood God&#039;s love and grace. I think this should also be the experience of the Israelites throughout the ages who have been searching for their identity as people, as well as us Christians who have gained our identity as people through our faith in Jesus. In addition, from the message of &quot;God&#039;s people are one family&quot; conveyed in the Book of Judges, I learned the importance of carefully obeying God&#039;s commands - not only for individuals, but also for all the \u9673\u9326\u660c
