</script>學院簡介 返回主頁 廢物回收計劃 考慮到學院飯堂和宿舍每天均產生大量的廚餘，學院飯堂遂於2019年與一間廚餘回收商達成協議，定期到學院收集廚餘。 在新型冠狀病毒爆發後，學院及其鄰近食肆的廚餘量均大減。面對有限的利潤，廚餘回收商決定不再到學院收集廚餘。然而，此舉卻成為學院廢物回收計劃的轉捩點。 2020年7月，學院自行購買廚餘處理器，將廚餘轉化成有機肥料，用作灌溉校園內的植物。學院教職員和學生更身體力行，在用餐後按指示自行將可分解和不可分解的廚餘放在不同的收集箱內。 同年12月，學院與匡智會營運的“綠在大埔”合作，推出“西澳校園環保回收計劃”，並在已婚宿舍地下設立特定的回收箱及收集小家電和慳電膽的回收架。行政部的同工更製作了《西澳校園環保小冊子》，向院內師生和職員講解校園內的環保設施和廢物回收的程序。此外，同工更定期發放《校園環保回收計劃報告》，讓全院師生了解計劃的最新情況。 目前，院內共收集10類回收物品，而在2023年，回收量更高達5,155.9千克。廢紙的回收量屬回收物品之冠，達到3,640.5 千克，其次是塑膠（529.7千克）和小家電（348.3千克）。學院的廚餘機於2023年度合共製造了97千克的堆肥，主要用作西澳校園花草樹木的肥料。
