Concerning the sinfulness of Jesus Christ, Gunton introduces the third way, namely, that \u201cHe was&nbsp;<em>enable<\/em>&nbsp;not to sin\u201d which is better than the two traditional stances: \u201cHe was&nbsp;<em>unable<\/em>&nbsp;to sin\u201d and \u201cHe was&nbsp;<em>able<\/em>&nbsp;not to sin.\u201d For Gunton, the latter two make the temptation of Jesus Christ unreal.
