Interview with Pastor Liu Fuquan Alumnus Liu Fuquan obtained a diploma in Bible studies in 1953 and was the second graduate of this college. Pastor Liu, who is now seventy-six years old, still often preaches on the pulpit with a loud voice, and still serves as a freelance evangelist in more than ten churches. He was only 23 years old when he graduated. From the 1950s, when the 20th century was a bit old and faded, he walked step by step into the era of information technology explosion in the 21st century. Belief in the Lord, Growth and Service When I was in primary school, I followed my teacher to Tai Kok Tsui Baptist Church and felt that the people in the church were very friendly. After I decided to believe in the Lord in middle school, I returned to the "Corner Baptism". At first, my mother opposed me, which made the church life unstable, and then stopped. In 1982, I felt very disappointed due to emotional problems and completely lost faith in people. However, I remembered that God’s love is eternal and I wanted to return to the embrace of the Lord. I was worried about my mother’s opposition, so I silently prayed to God to open a way, and promised Him: “If You lead me back to the church, I am willing to serve You in the church.”…
