Services and Facilities

Loan Services

The library provides lending service to users who possess a valid faculty / student / alumni / staff library card. Users may borrow library materials by presenting their barcoded library card at the circulation counter.

Applicants for a library card should fill in an application form and submit a photo at the circulation counter. Baptist co-workers (who works in local Baptist churches) may also apply for a library card.

Borrowers are responsible for returning their loans on or before the due date.

Inter-Library Loan

As a member of the Hong Kong Theological Education Association, library users may borrow library materials from the other member libraries by presenting a HKTEA borrower ticket.

The loans by users should be obtained and returned directly to the lending libraries (Loans issued through this arrangement would be counted as part of the user's loan quota). However, requests for the photocopying of journal articles for research purpose could be made through the seminary library.

Tutorial Room

A tutorial room with seating capacity of 2-10 persons is provided for library users to conduct group studies or meetings. Users are welcomed for making their registration at the circulation counter.

New Book Display

Around 100 vols. new books per month will be displayed in the new book display corner for a few weeks before they become available for loan. Users are welcomed for browsing and making reserve requests on them.

Reservations of Library Materials

Reservation service for items on loan is provided for library users through the library catalogue(https://primo.hkbts.edu.hk).

Computer Equipment

Internet access is provided in the library and users can have access to up-to-date information worldwide. These personal computers can also be used for retrieving data stored in CD-ROMs. In addition, a scanner, a color and B/W printer are available for use.

Audio-Visual Equipment

The library provides AV equipment for listening audio cassettes, compact discs, LPs and viewing video cassettes, VCDs and DVDs.

Photocopying Service

A photocopier is provided for public use. Library materials may be reproduced only in conformity with the copyright laws.
