  The Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary has been holding a series of Theology Salons from the start of this academic year. In this issue of our Newsletter, we invited President Joshua Cho to talk about the beginnings and features of HKBTS Theology Salons, and excerpts from some of these salons are included for readers to get a taste of them.

An Overview of HKBTS Theology Salons

President Joshua Cho On September 3 last year, Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary (HKBS) held its first “Theology Salon” at the morning assembly. Professor Deng Shaoguang and I took the lead in discussing Bonhoeffer’s ethical thoughts. Afterwards, Baptist Theological Seminary held a series of various "theological salons" on campus, off campus, and later on the Internet. Some are hosted independently by the college, while others are jointly or co-organized with alumni associations, churches or other organizations. The topics are wide-ranging, covering different areas such as the Bible, church history, theology, pastoral care, and preaching (see the attached table). ...
