content	This course deals with liturgical readings of the five books (Song of Songs, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, Esther) in Jewish traditions. We will begin with a literary, historical and theological analysis of each book. This will be followed by a discussion of their usage in the respective festivals. Finally, ways of using the books in Christian liturgies and their applications in Christian ministries will be explored.
