This course primarily focuses on appreciating the Book of Joshua from a narrative perspective, thereby helping readers understand and appreciate how the text shapes their faith and life through narrative techniques such as plot, content arrangement, character portrayal, and themes.
Contents: 1. Just as they needed to prepare to enter the Promised Land, so we need to prepare to enter the Book of Joshua (Introduction to the Book of Joshua) 2. After Moses, it's your turn (chapters 1-2) 3. Not too close, but not too far either (Chapters 3-4) 4. Ha, you have swords, I have… (Chapters 5-6) 5. Failure always comes especially quickly (Chapters 7-8) 6. Look, a list of victories (Chapters 9-12) 7. Finally, everyone has land! (Is it really over?) (Chapters 13–22) 8. Serving the Lord for life (Did you really do it?) (Joshua 23–24) |
