Walking on Nin Ming Road: Reflection on Education and Theological Education
Chow Pui-shan, Director of Distance Education Program: This year marks exactly ten years since I began walking Nian Ming Road. Nian Ming Road has taken me through three years of studying for a Master of Divinity and three years of studying for a Master of Theology, and has also led me to the distance education program and my role as a co-worker in this department. For me, Nian Ming Road is a path to education, leading me to theological education at Baptist Theological Seminary and, subsequently, to serving God here. The narrow and long Nian Ming Road is crisscrossed by the figures of teachers, co-workers, and students. When classes began at the end of August this year, the road was filled with many new footprints. The youthful energy of these new students, freshly embarking on Nian Ming Road and preparing for their full-time ministry, has added a new dimension to the landscape of Baptist Theological Seminary on Nian Ming Road and has also sparked my reflections on education and theological education. ...
