There are many life and death education courses in the market, but most of them are fragmented lectures that fail to specifically and comprehensively deconstruct the issues of life and death. Thanks to the Baptist Theological Education Department for offering this course, which allows me to connect Christian theology with life and death education, and to understand other religions’ views on life and death. This course helped me learn how to face death calmly, understand "transitioning from death to life", and actively face the difficulties of life and death. How does it feel to face death? What do we say, think, imagine and hope for before saying goodbye? What can we do to prepare for the day of "saying goodbye"? Since the Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary (HKBS) launched Christian life and death education last year, it has received a lot of positive responses. This year, our College’s Theological Education Department once again co-organized a Christian Life and Death Education Seminar with the church. The theme was “Before the Day We Say Goodbye…”, exploring people’s feelings and needs when facing death, and how to help them say goodbye to their families. In addition, the Believers’ Theological Education Department will launch a new “Certificate in Christian Life and Death Education” course in October to provide believers with master’s level training. ...
