Grace Chan Associate Chaplain and Lecturer of Church Music In 2014, I co-taught the course "Church Worship Studies" with teachers from the Bible and Christian Thought departments, a total of five people. Since this subject is an interdisciplinary study, it requires the integration of various fields, with equal emphasis on theory and practice. Before the course started, several of us teachers met to discuss the course’s objectives, scope, key content, and homework requirements, so as to help students think about the church’s worship ministry from multiple perspectives, including the Bible, theology, church history, church tradition and rituals, church worship ministry and pastoral care, ethical practice, and modern cultural context. The classes were taught by teachers from different disciplines who took turns teaching the corresponding topics; I was mainly responsible for coordination, observing each class and teaching the second half of the class. There are many different forms of teaching, and they are flexible and varied. In recent years, the core courses regularly offered by HKTSC in a teacher-teaching mode include "Research and Writing", "Graduation Seminar", "Introduction to Pastoral Care and Counseling" and "Pastoral Leadership and Ministry". He served as the church's volunteer treasurer for thirty years and was also involved in various other areas of ministry, including Sunday school, missionary society, site development, and missions.
