Team teaching refers to two or more teachers working together to teach the same subject. Many subjects at Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary (HKBS) adopt the “collaborative teaching” approach. Interviewee: Deacon Wan Yun-chee Brother Wan Yun-chee is a deacon of Kowloon City Baptist Church. He serves the Lord diligently and spares no effort. He served as the church's volunteer treasurer for thirty years and was also involved in various other areas of ministry, including Sunday school, missionary society, site development, and missions. In 1996, he took the initiative to support the Baptist Theological Seminary's scholarship program. Interviewee: Mr. Kuen Pak-sui Brother Kuen Pak-sui is a member of Kowloon City Baptist Church. He is enthusiastic in serving, especially in preaching the gospel and participating in community care ministries. He served in the church mission for twenty years, expanding overseas and domestic ministries; he served in the missionary department for fifteen years, responsible for local missions, caring for seminary students, caring for local communities, and developing Indian domestic workers ministries. He also serves as the director of the Friendship Department and a mentor for the growth class. Brother Quan runs a business and opens a factory. He and his wife have one son and one daughter. ...

Interviewee: Deacon Vincent Kwan Deacon Vincent Kwan is a second-generation Christian. He has been attending church since he was a child and has been growing up and serving in To Kwa Wan Baptist Church. He was the chairman of the church council and is currently the chairman of the Deacons' Committee. Deacon Guan has been working in the financial industry since graduating from university and currently works for a company related to stock indexes. He and his wife have two sons. ...

Interviewee: Mr. Ma Yuk-ming Brother Ma Yuk-ming is a member of Caiping Baptist Church and has believed in the Lord for nearly forty years. Brother Ma was once the chairman of the church's deacon board. After stepping down more than ten years ago, he studied for a theology diploma and has been serving in the church's Sunday school department for many years. Brother Ma founded his own company thirty years ago and, with God’s provision, it has achieved remarkable development. In order to express his gratitude to God for his grace, he and his wife established a fund in 2016 to support some budding gospel ministries. ...

Interviewee: Prof. Ir. Steve Wong Professor Ir. Steve Wong has been attending church since he was a child. He has attended and served in Diamond Hill Baptist Church and Tai Kok Tsui Baptist Church for fifty years. In addition to serving in the church, Professor Huang also actively participates in voluntary work for school-running groups, establishing schools locally and overseas to educate students and spread the gospel. Professor Huang is engaged in the construction consultancy and environmental protection industries. The company he founded has now grown into a multinational enterprise. Professor Huang and his wife have three children, all of whom are Christians. ...

Joshua Cho President The President’s Council (“Council”) of Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary (“HKBS”) was established in the 1980s. Later, the development of the Senate slowed down and the opportunities for members to meet and communicate with each other gradually decreased. It was not until 2009 that the situation began to improve when I reconvened the Senate members and held regular meetings every year. After ten years, I am pleased to see that the relationship between members has become closer and they are increasingly able to play the role of advisors. As our relationships grow closer, the atmosphere at the annual gatherings is always heated and exciting. Li Jiangyong (M.Div.) Li Jiangyong and Dean Cao Weitong remember their initial aspirations when they first arrived at Baptist Theological Seminary. The teacher soon arranged for mainland students to introduce themselves. At that time, I introduced my purpose in this way: My purpose of coming to Baptist Theological Seminary was to become a good preacher; to provide solid messages on the pulpit and to shepherd the believers well. Eric Wong (MCS), Master of Christian Studies Eric Wong and other students reviewed their three-year study life. They said that the theological training not only enabled them to gain knowledge, but also enabled them to serve the church more effectively.
