On October 8, 2025, I met with my fellow alumnus, Zhihong. He has always been passionately involved in children's ministry, clearly recognizing it as God's calling for him. During our conversation, I remembered Marcia J. Bunge, a colleague in children's theology whom I knew when I was teaching in the United States. I then recommended to him the edited volume she co-authored, "Child Theology: Diverse Methods and Global Perspectives." Several authors in the book propose that "child theology" can be understood as "theology with children as the analytical focus," "theology that attends to the situation of children," or "theology that rejoices and weeps with children." In their theological reflections, they consciously recall their own childhood experiences while seriously listening to and observing children in real life, integrating these experiences into their theological thinking.
