Chow Pui-shan, Director of Distance Education Program: This year marks exactly ten years since I began walking Nian Ming Road. Nian Ming Road has taken me through three years of studying for a Master of Divinity and three years of studying for a Master of Theology, and has also led me to the distance education program and my role as a co-worker in this department. For me, Nian Ming Road is a path to education, leading me to theological education at Baptist Theological Seminary and, subsequently, to serving God here. The narrow and long Nian Ming Road is crisscrossed by the figures of teachers, co-workers, and students. Au Siu-yin (M.Div.) Three years ago, in the midsummer, I began a new chapter in my life at Baptist Theological Seminary with trepidation. I entered seminary to be trained because my calling from God was clear, and I had a deep peace and assurance in my heart. However, since my home was quite far from the seminary, the daily commute to school was long and physically exhausting. Furthermore, having left school nearly twenty years ago, and considering my advanced age, reentering a new environment and pursuing a full-time program was a tremendous challenge. Furthermore, balancing my demanding studies with family life and church service was no easy feat. Looking back now, I can't fully recall how I navigated these challenges and pressures. I only know that God's grace remained unwavering throughout this period, and it only grew more abundant!

Similar words appear in Genesis, Psalms, and Hebrews. These words resonate particularly deeply with me, as I am "a stranger in a strange land." Coming to Hong Kong to study alone, I deeply feel the hardships of travel. Sometimes, looking at the Liu Yuesheng Memorial Building on campus, I wonder, "Would the pioneers who migrated to Hong Kong and founded Baptist Theological Seminary also have felt the same hardships of travel?" This is how God places us in this great tide, allowing us to endure various trials along the journey and to gain supplies at various stops, where we rest, heal, and gain strength, so that we can deeply understand the truth of our faith—that the Lord Jesus not only gives us life, but also gives us life to the fullest. ...
