Nathan Ng, Associate Professor of Christian Thought (Church History), wrote a series of articles in the "Tracing the Origins" series of the journal *Times Forum* from July 2006 to June 2007, tracing the origins of the church's doctrines, traditions, denominational organizations, and various aspects of the Chinese church today. The most frequent responses were to introductions to the historical roots of various denominations; this revealed that Chinese Christians in Hong Kong are indeed troubled by the proliferation of denominations and yearn for greater understanding and clarification of their relationships.
