We went to Tai Hang Sai New Village, Sham Shui Po Community Association, St. Francis Xavier Church and other places. The mother church of my church is in Pak Tin, and the mother church of the mother church is in Tai Hang Tung. The first place we surveyed that day was Tai Hang Sai Village, which is the place I had to pass through for many years when going between the mother church and the mother church. I am familiar with Tai Hang West Village. When the church holds camps, Tai Hang West Village is often used as one of the checkpoints for orienteering. This is because the area is large but there are not many residents, most of whom are elderly people. There are no administrators to interfere with us, so it is a good place to play group games. Student Group 3 (To Kwa Wan) Group photo "Tujia" After the tour guide led our group of 20 people to complete the tour in the old district of To Kwa Wan, he gave us an additional itinerary, which was to visit a dilapidated rooftop. This rooftop is on the roof of a tenement building in the district. As this place has been abandoned for a long time and the building is about to be rebuilt, the residents of the surrounding areas simply regard this place as a garbage collection station and dump all their old furniture and electrical appliances here to save the effort of taking them to the garbage station on the street. One day, some residents couldn't stand it anymore and decided to clean up the place. But there was a lot of garbage, so they contacted the volunteers from "Maintain Hong Kong" who had been helping them repair electrical appliances on a voluntary basis to clean it up together. It is said that the volunteers spent at least seven days of their spare time, using a human chain to carry all the garbage, big and small. The tour guide took the students into the streets and alleys of Yau Ma Tei, allowing us to get to know this old community that is facing reconstruction. We first came to Portland Street. There are several cross-border direct bus stations here, and next to it is a new cluster of hotels that stand out among the surrounding old district facilities. The tour guide pointed out that the development of Hong Kong's tourism industry has led to the closure of many old-fashioned shops. As small shops closed down, the personal connections gradually faded away, and the strong human touch of the old community is no longer there. ...
