Many churches try to go into the community, contact the poor, and help neighbors with financial difficulties. However, there are also many churches that have lost their enthusiasm and even left in disappointment after experiencing the joy of helping others. This article uses the approach of practical theological reflection to explore the confusion and myths that may easily arise in the church’s poverty alleviation ministry. It uses a church case as an example to illustrate and then proposes an order to help order the chaos in the church’s ministry.
